Friday night at the Orion Function Centre, Campsie: a fourth-round TKO on the New Gen card, a third straight win, and the first walk to the ring since the two-belt night in Tasmania.
The card was announced with Bondi Boxing Club on 10 August: New Gen, Orion Function Centre, Friday 4 September, tickets through the gym. Six months earlier Etienne had left Tasmania with the WBC Silver Australasian and ANBF Australasian super middleweight belts after a unanimous decision over Sebastian Wells. This was the return.
Camp ran through Waterloo. Fight week meant a last strength session with Principle Sports Performance, the weight made the day before with Strive Dietetics, and a corner set: the Bondi Boxing Club team, all in black RALPH shirts.
The walk down the stairs of the Orion, gloves on, corner behind. Three rounds of work, then in the fourth the referee stepped in and waved it off. Technical knockout, round four.

The stoppage takes the professional record to 5–3: three wins in a row since January, two of them inside the distance. What comes next is with the team. In the meantime, the ring where this camp was built is the one where Etienne coaches one-on-one, in Waterloo.
