Posted with Bondi Boxing Club on 10 August, three words did the job: Ralph is back. The card: New Gen, at the Orion Function Centre in Campsie, Friday 4 September.
It came six months after Tasmania, where Etienne took the WBC Silver Australasian and ANBF Australasian super middleweight belts in one night. The record stood at 4–3 with two wins in a row, and the name on the other side of the poster was Edriel Thein.
General admission tickets were $100, sold through Bondi Boxing Club, with Etienne taking messages directly for anyone who wanted to be in the room. One week out, the message on Instagram was simple: if you want to come and support, get your tickets.
The goal is simple. The road to get there is anything but. Etienne Ralph, three weeks out
Fight week ran the way camp had: a last strength session with Principle Sports Performance, the gym's pros training together on the Thursday morning, then the scales. Weight made, the day before. Fuelled with Strive Dietetics. Tomorrow night, showtime.
How it went is in the fight report.
